The clothing industry utilizes a considerable amount of chemicals before, during and after the production of each textile causing the consumers to question the safety of the end-product. Day by day, public’s interest in sustainability is rising and brands are increasingly more demanding about the manufacturing of certified textile products.

To be able to declare such statements, Polyprint invests annually to the ECO PASSPORT certification by OEKO-TEX®. Our inks, pretreatment solutions, cleaners, and other consumables we offer for printing, have been awarded with the highest degree of certification for printing chemical auxiliaries, which is:

ECO PASSPORT by OEKO-TEX®

All chemicals, colorants and auxiliaries used for the manufacture of textiles and leather materials can be certified in accordance with ECO PASSPORT. This also includes industry-specific formulations (chemical compounds) such as inks and pretreatment solutions used in the DTG industry. During a multistep process, OEKO-TEX institute test if each individual ingredient in the chemical product meets the statutory requirements and that it is not harmful to human health. The ECO PASSPORT label gives transparent proof that the criteria for ecologically responsible textile and leather manufacture are met. Once per year, OEKO-TEX® updates the banned substances and limit values and expands them to include new scientific findings or requirements.

Polyprint’s chooses to retest and renew the certificate every year to be absolutely sure that its products remain sustainable. Apart from a health declaration, the ECO PASSPORT document is a strong ally to help the customer enter financing programs that can help his business.
